This beginner crochet class will cover a few of the basic crochet stitches including, chain stitching, single/ double crochet, front/back post stitching, and starting out in a magic circle. By the end of four weeks students should be able to make a gauge swatch, an ear warmer, granny squares, and finally, a basic beanie.

Ever looked at a quilt and wondered “Wow! How do you do that!?” Well wonder no more! Learn how to make a variety of quilt blocks that can be used as wall hangings and coasters. Or put multiple blocks together to make a whole blanket. Classes are designed for the beginner sewer with each class building on the last. Gain knowledge on fabric selections, how to cut for quilting, block assembly, and discussions of whole quilt construction.

In our beginning knitting course students will be introduced to the basics of this millennia old craft. Learn how to cast-on, bind off, knit stitch, purl stitch and how to read a pattern. Each week will be a new project with which to practice your increasing skills.  Course pricing includes instruction, pattern, yarn and knitting needles.

Beginning Painting will go over basic color theory, shading techniques, and different brush types. This beginner course allows students to experiment with these different elements in order to help them put their ideas to canvas. The course uses acrylic paints as these are the most accessible to new painters.

In this introductory lapidary class, we’ll explore native local rocks in the quartz family, fossils, Oregon sunstones, and other common minerals. You’ll learn the many ways to cut and polish stones, along with creative ideas for what to make with them—whether it’s jewelry, decor, or display pieces.

Perfect for rockhounds, crafters, and anyone curious about the hidden beauty inside local stones.

Bring in a small appliance from home that’s been giving you trouble—we’ll take a look together.

Take control of your toolbox and save money by learning to fix it yourself.
