Our indirect support costs focus on building a strong, resilient community around our veterans. This includes hosting inclusive community events, promoting local and veteran-owned businesses, organizing volunteer efforts, and encouraging neighbors to help one another. These initiatives foster connection, visibility, and long-term support systems that uplift veterans not just as individuals—but as valued members of a thriving community.

Our funds dedicated to the support of veterans include the donation of essential supplies to veteran families, employing veterans within our programs, and maintaining the operations of the Hub itself. These funds go directly toward making a tangible impact—putting tools, materials, and resources into the hands of those who served, creating employment opportunities that foster dignity and purpose, and sustaining a community space where healing, skill-building, and support come together.

Who We've Helped This Year

Veteran Outreach

Everyone here has worn the uniform or stood behind someone who has. This isn’t a feel-good charity or a box to check—it’s a working space built by veterans, for veterans. We know what transition looks like. We know what it feels like to be mission-ready one day and directionless the next. That’s why we built something different.

This program isn’t about therapy couches and paperwork. It’s about rebuilding purpose through work, learning, and community. Veterans who come through our doors gain access to hands-on classes, job-ready skills, mentorship, and a workshop filled with tools—physical and mental—to take the next step. Whether it’s 3D printing, welding, electronics, or just fixing something with your own two hands, it all leads back to one thing: agency.

We don’t do pity. We do precision, accountability, and mutual respect. We run on the belief that veterans don’t need saving—they need opportunity and a place where their time, experience, and grit still count. And when someone walks in, they aren’t a client or a project. They’re a teammate.

We also keep an open door for families—because the impact of service doesn’t stop at the edge of a uniform. Spouses, kids, and caregivers are all part of the story, and they’re part of this space too.

What we offer isn’t glamorous—but it’s solid. Real work. Real support. Real community. If you’re looking for a place that understands the weight you carry and still expects you to get the job done, you just found it.

Foster Youth Programs

This isn’t just a program—it’s personal. Nearly everyone involved in this organization has been touched by the foster care system in some way: as former foster youth, parents, caseworkers, or mentors. That shared experience fuels everything we do.

These programs are designed to meet kids and families where they are—with empathy, honesty, and a deep understanding of the gaps that too often get overlooked. We offer more than just services—we offer opportunities. That includes creative classes, one-on-one mentorship, reading and literacy programs, and a safe space where young people can explore who they are without judgment.

It’s not just about support—it’s about belonging. We believe every foster youth deserves more than survival—they deserve growth, discovery, and a community that sees their potential. That’s why our programs focus on building skills, confidence, and connection—not just checking boxes.

Whether it’s learning a craft, finding a quiet place to read, or just having someone to talk to, this is a place where foster youth and families aren’t just served—they’re seen.

Tech & Engineering Programs

Engineering should belong to everyone—not just the experts. These programs are built to strip away the gatekeeping and show that with the right tools, anyone can design, build, and invent. With a space full of 3D printers, modeling software, electronics, and hands-on tools, participants dive straight into real-world problem solving.

Classes are built around action: modeling parts, printing prototypes, testing ideas, and learning by doing. No experience needed, just curiosity. Whether it's your first time touching a printer or you’re deep into your tenth iteration, the goal is the same—turning imagination into something you can hold.

Special focus is given to veterans and foster youth, offering a space to build confidence through creation. These tools don’t just teach engineering—they unlock opportunity. By embedding tech into everyday learning, the programs turn big ideas into accessible, exciting, and empowering experiences for people of all backgrounds.

Innovation starts here—and everyone gets a seat at the table.

Art Programs at Ann Grace

Art belongs to everyone. We believe creativity isn’t limited to galleries or studios—it lives in everyday life, in the hands of those willing to try. Our art programs are built on this belief: that when you make art accessible, you unlock healing, expression, and a deeper sense of self.

We offer hands-on classes in painting, sculpture, sewing, photography, fiber arts, and more—inviting participants to experiment, explore, and create without fear of judgment. Whether someone is crafting a handmade card or painting their first canvas, we focus on the joy of making and the stories behind each piece.

Art becomes even more powerful when it supports a purpose. That’s why our programs are specially designed to serve foster youth and veterans—two communities with rich stories and often few safe spaces to share them. Through creative expression, our participants find voice, build confidence, and reconnect with the world around them.

By embedding art into everyday spaces and experiences, we make it approachable, therapeutic, and fun. At Ann Grace, we don’t just teach art—we help people live it.

Science & Math at Ann Grace

At Ann Grace Hub, we believe that science and math shouldn’t live only in textbooks—they should live in our hands, homes, and daily lives. Our programs are designed to make these essential subjects accessible, practical, and meaningful by weaving them into everyday activities like crafting, cooking, building, and creative hobbies.

By embedding STEM principles into things people already enjoy—like sewing, woodworking, gardening, or even baking—we remove the intimidation factor and open the door for lifelong learning. Measuring fabric becomes a lesson in geometry. Quilting patterns reveal the beauty of symmetry and spatial awareness. Baking turns into an experiment in chemistry. Through this hands-on approach, participants develop real-world skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper appreciation for how science and math shape their world.

We place a special focus on supporting veterans and youth in foster care—two communities often overlooked in traditional education spaces. By making STEM education more tangible, inclusive, and empowering, we help build confidence, spark curiosity, and provide tools that support both healing and growth. Whether you're rediscovering your love of learning or building a foundation for the future, Ann Grace is here to show that science and math aren’t just for the classroom—they’re for everyone.

Programs

Kitsap County, Washington is home to a rapidly growing veteran population due to the presence of three local navy bases and its beautiful landscape. However despite this significant demographic there is a concerning lack of mental health and supportive services tailored specifically for veterans.

The nearest VA hospital is an hour away and emergency services are even further, making timely access to care a major challenge.

Veterans face unique mental health issues, such as PTSD and reintegration difficulties, that require specialized attention services that are currently scarce in our community.

Our solution is twofold. First, MAR mental health therapy provides specialized therapy assessments and evaluations designed specifically for veterans. We offer virtual and in-person services to overcome geographical barriers and ensure accessibility.  Second, Ann Grace Hub is a community center offering employment opportunities and business support for veterans, providing training and resources to help them transition into civilian life.

Together these initiatives address both the mental health and socioeconomic needs of veterans and their families in Kitsap County.
